Our Butterflies

My class watched as our caterpillars changed into beautiful butterflies.
We delighted in seeing them fly up into the sunny blue sky when they were ready to take flight. Each pupil released one butterfly.
See our wonderful photographs.

I'm a Little Red Apple Poem/Song

I'm a little red apple on a tree,
I'm a little red apple on a tree,
I see a bee, a busy busy bee,
I'm a little red apple on a tree

I'm a little red apple on a tree,
I'm a little red apple on a tree,
I have no hips but I've many many pips,
I'm a little red apple on a tree.

I'm a little red apple on a tree,
I'm a little red apple on a tree,
I have no feet but I'm very very sweet,
I'm a little red apple on a tree.

I'm a little red apple on a tree,
I'm a little red apple on a tree,
I've a thick shiny skin to let your teeth in,
I'm a little red apple on a tree.

I'm a little red apple on a tree,
I'm a little red apple on a tree,
You won't have much more when you eat me to the core,
I'm a little red apple on a tree. by Anne Newell

Book Worm

Here is a Bookworm you can use to write in the names of the letters the pupil has learned or they could colour in part of the worm for each book read. You can also use it to improve behaviour e.g. if you catch a child doing something good you can tell them to colour in part of the bookworm. You can click on the picture to print copies for your pupils.
